The Enforcement Conduct Board - a new independent oversight body.

The Enforcement Conduct Board is being established because of a ground-breaking collaboration between the civil enforcement and debt advice sectors, with the support of the Centre for Social Justice. The new regulatory body will be launched in autumn of 2022. In the meantime, inquiries can be directed via this site.

What will the Enforcement Conduct Board do?

Funded by the industry, the Enforcement Conduct Board will have a mandate is to drive out bad practices, protect the financially vulnerable, balance the critical financial needs of local councils and ensure fairness for all. Specifically, it will seek to:

  • Raise standards
  • Improve accountability
  • Adjudicate responsibly
  • Protect vulnerable people
